Information About Beleth

Beleth is a powerful and terrifying king of the orders of powers. According to various sources, he governs between 80 and 85 legions of spirits. To summon Beleth, the exorcist must use a hazel wand to create a triangle outside the circle. The method of summoning Beleth varies slightly in different texts. However, they all agree that Beleth appears rough and furious when summoned and requires careful handling.

In “The Lesser Key of Solomon,” Beleth is depicted riding a pale horse with musical instruments playing before him. If he appears rough and furious, the exorcist must use bonds and charms to command him into the triangle. Beleth is known to cause love between men and women until the exorcist’s desire is fulfilled.

Johann Weyer’s “Pseudomonarchia Daemonum” describes Beleth as a formidable king who initially resists entering the circle. The exorcist must proceed to read a binding spell, at which point Beleth will submit and carry out the exorcist’s commands. Beleth’s dominion and power are not to be underestimated, as he can ensnare both men and women in a state of doting love until the exorcist’s desires are fulfilled.

In Collin de Plancy’s “Dictionnaire Infernal,” Beleth is depicted as sitting on a white horse and preceded by cats who sound horns. To evoke Beleth, one must give him a gracious welcome, show how much he is valued, and present a silver ring on the middle finger of the left hand. Offering a glass of wine might also help. He was formerly of the order of powers and commands 80 legions.
