Product description from the publisher

Lovely Animals Oracle is a deck that I originally came across on Instagram. On her account, the creator of the deck, Helena de Almeida, shares her art and oracle interpretations. She also has a website where she runs a Tarot Academy where you can learn the basics of tarot. All the content she shares radiates positivity and goodwill, so I also had to take a closer look at her decks. The first one that I added to my shopping cart was Lovely Animals Oracle. This is my review of it.

About the Creators

Helena de Almeida is a 46-year-old artist from Setúbal, a small municipality in Portugal that boasts great wonders of nature, the sun, and the sea. She is an empath, witch, sensitive, medium, and nature lover who finds solace and inspiration in the natural world around her.

Her love for nature and the spiritual world started at a very young age. She spent most of her time alone in the forest, where her maternal grandparents’ farm was. At the age of seven, she already felt the energy around her and spent most of her time talking to the spirits of nature. Her deep connection with nature and the spiritual world has helped her become the person she is today.

As an artist, de Almeida loves to break prejudices and immerse herself in creative, fanciful, and spiritual art with a touch of reality that is an effective conduit of expression when words seem inadequate. Her artworks reflect an optimistic and loving view of the world around her. She tries to create a visual language of love, emotion, and spirituality, hoping to bring moments of happiness through her creations.

Cards and the Artwork

Lovely animals Oracle has 44 cards in it. The cards have a standard size of approximately 9 x 12.5 cm (3.5 x 5 inches). The thickness of the paper feels typical for oracle cards, so the cards are quite flexible. The quality seems good, but there will be marks around the edges if you’re not careful. The cards come in a sturdy box with enough extra space to allow the cards to wiggle around a bit inside. The guidebook, which is the same size as the cards, also comes in the same case as the cards.

The artwork on the cards is truly unique, featuring an array of vibrant and whimsical designs that will capture the imagination. These cards are anything but boring – they are filled with playful and lighthearted imagery that encourages readers to let loose and have fun. One particularly delightful example is blending animals and plants. For example, the elephant has leaves for its ears. This creative approach to design makes these cards stand out from the crowd and provides a refreshing change from more serious options.

The Guidebook of the Lovely Animals Oracle

When you get your hands on the kit, don’t forget to check out the guidebook that comes with it. With 61 pages of useful information, it’s a real gem among guidebooks. The paper quality is top-notch, and the pages feel good to touch and are easy to turn. On the guidebook’s pages, you’ll also find the same whimsical illustrations that appear on the cards. The colourful and smiling llama on the cover is inviting.

The guidebook starts by describing the purpose of this deck. The author then explains the processes and methods she used to compile the list of used animals and the messages they portray. Next, the author explains how you could approach Lovely Animals Oracle. She explains the basics of the weaknesses, threats, strengths, and opportunities that these cards represent. So basically, this deck uses the SWOT analysis at its core, which is an exciting idea, in my opinion.

The guidebook dedicates its main portion to the cards, providing a dedicated page for each card. On these pages, you’ll find keywords associated with the card that make quick interpretations easier. Additionally, the pages offer insights into the card’s strengths, opportunities, threats, and weaknesses, giving you a better understanding of what the card represents. The last thing you’ll find about each card is a general message, which can provide you with more direct guidance.

Conclusion

Lovely Animals Oracle deck is a whimsical and colourful set of cards featuring a diverse range of animals, each with unique strengths and messages. The artwork is unique, and the guidebook provides valuable insights into each card’s meaning. The deck is perfect for those looking for a fun and lighthearted approach to divination. Overall, I highly recommend Lovely Animals Oracle deck to anyone interested in exploring the animal kingdom’s magic and discovering their animal helper.
