These terms apply when you use esotericwitch.com. They are short, because the site is simple: free guides, a free School and links to my books, my Etsy shop and my newsletter. By using the site you agree to them.
Who I am
The site is run by Lauri Mukkala, trading as The Esoteric Witch, a Finnish sole trader (toiminimi), business ID (Y-tunnus) 3289993-8. You can reach me at lauri.esotericwitch@gmail.com. More details are on the business information page.
Using the content
You are welcome to read, print and use the guides, lessons and printables for your own personal study and practice. You may share a link to any page, and you may quote a short passage with a credit and a link back.
Please do not copy whole pages or large parts of the site onto another website, sell the content, or present it as your own. Scraping the site, or using its text or images to train machine learning models, is not allowed without my written permission.
Copyright
The text, my own graphics and my own photos are © Lauri Mukkala, unless a credit says otherwise. Many artworks on the site, such as the 1909 tarot cards and old paintings and engravings, are in the public domain, and some images are used under another license. Each one is credited with its source and license on the image, font and text credits page and next to the image. Those credits tell you how you may reuse each image.
The free School
The School is free. It needs no account, and your progress is saved only in your own browser, so I cannot restore it if you clear your browser data. Use the export option on the My learning page if you want a backup.
At the end of a course you can print a certificate of completion. It is a personal keepsake: a certificate of completion, not an accredited qualification. It does not certify you as a professional reader or practitioner, and it does not prove anything to an employer or a school. There are no paid courses and no refund terms, because nothing on this site is sold here.
The lessons teach skills and history. I cannot guarantee any particular result from a reading, ritual or practice.
Links to Etsy, Amazon and Substack
My books are sold on Amazon, my readings are sold in my Etsy shop, and my newsletter runs on Substack. When you follow a link to those sites, their own terms, privacy policies and refund rules apply, and any purchase is made there, not on this site. I am not responsible for the content of other websites I link to, though I try to link only to useful, reputable pages. Some links to Amazon are affiliate links, as explained in my affiliate disclosure.
Age
The content is written for adults. The newsletter is for readers aged 16 and over. Some topics, such as Goetia, deity work and chaos magic, are for adults only.
Not professional advice
Everything on this site is for spiritual, educational and entertainment purposes. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Please read the disclaimer, which also lists where to get help.
Liability
I write and check every page carefully, but I cannot promise that the site is always available or free of errors. To the extent Finnish law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law and your rights as a consumer
Finnish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
If part of these terms is invalid
If a court finds that one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions
If you are unsure whether a use of my content is allowed, for example in a class, a study group or a printed handout, email me at lauri.esotericwitch@gmail.com and ask. I will reply.
Changes
I may update these terms when the site changes. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
